Last night our CEO Ken Kilbride made his journey to Cork City to join Martin Finn Cork Service Development Manager, Fiona Meehan SCOIL BARRA NAOFA BHUACHAILLI principal and almost 100 participants in The Clayton, Lapp’s Quay hotel!
The event started with an official introduction followed by Ken’s informative presentation about ADHD and ADHD Ireland; Fiona has taken the stand to outline her opinion and views on neurodiversity in school and the ADHD School Accreditation Programme. Martin Finn has presented the aims and goals for the Cork Branch and the importance of creating a supportive ADHD community in the south-west region.
The event could not turn up better, everything came along thanks to the real stars of the evening, the participants.
There was so much interaction, people asked great questions, expressed joy and relief that this service was now in Cork and gave impassioned speeches about the things they were most concerned about which has given us a fair view of how to work on our future objectives.
The evening ensured us that the service is needed there and we intent to delivering the best support we can. This live occasion was only the start, as we are forecasting further in-person events, we would like to invite everybody to the Cork area to join our virtual groups which are the link to the in-person goings-on. Please see our coming support groups dedicated to Cork Region below.
We are sending huge thanks and appreciation to everyone who took the time to be part of the event to begin of the development of ADHD supportive community in south-west part of the country!!
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff of the The Clayton, Lapp’s Quay hotel.
