ADHD Ireland and the ADHD Foundation / Neurodiversity Charity collaboration is back to facilitate the largest ADHD conference in Europe, which will take place virtually on October 10, 2024.
This forward-thinking conference, which will bring together global experts, leaders, and thinkers, is for all those affected by ADHD and will seek to push for progress. We will lead insightful and inclusive discussions, exploring what needs to be done to enable those with ADHD to thrive.

Meet The Speakers
Susan J. Young, BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, PhD, CSi, AFBPS
Professor Susan Young, BSc (Hons), DClinPsy, PhD, CSi, AFBPS, is a registered clinical and forensic psychologist, and practitioner clinical neuropsychologist, with over 30 years’ of experience working in clinical academia. Susan participated in the NICE ADHD National Clinical Practice Guidelines No. 72 and their implementation strategy. In 2017, Susan left her job working at Imperial College London and West London Mental Health Trust to work full-time in private practice as the director of Psychology Services Limited (www.psychology-services.uk.com). Here she provides psycho-educational materials, training, resources and clinical/forensic services relating to the assessment and treatment of children and adults with mental health problems and/or neurodevelopmental conditions.
Susan is involved in international research collaborations and has published over 250 articles in peer-reviewed research papers, books, assessment tools and treatment programmes. These include the ACE/ACE+ clinical assessments of ADHD in children and adults (available in 22 languages), the Diagnostic Autism Spectrum Interview [DASI – available in 7 languages] and five cognitive behavioural therapy programmes for children and adults with cognitive, emotional, social and/or behavioural problems. Susan regularly runs international training courses in these tools and programmes. Colin Foley
Colin Foley is the training director of the ADHD Foundation, the largest ADHD charity in Europe. Following a twenty-five-year teaching career, including ten years in school leadership, Colin has led the Training team at the ADHD Foundation to be become the largest provider of training for professionals on ADHD in the UK, working with over 13,000 professionals from a range of sectors in the last year. Our training sessions are rooted in taking a strength based approach to neurodiversity- understanding the conditions, how they can overlap, the impact of neurodiversity on people’s lived experience as well as empowering educators, employers, line managers, service providers, families and neurodiverse people with evidence-based strategies for living well and being successful in education and in the workplace.
Kat Brown- Journalist and Author
Kat Brown is a British journalist whose work examining everything from The Archers to mental health stigma has appeared widely across national print, radio, and TV. She is the author of It’s Not a Bloody Trend: Understanding Life as an ADHD Adult, and editor of the infertility anthology No One Talks About This Stuff: 22 Stories of Almost Parenthood, both published in spring 2024. She loves horse riding, tarot and quizzing and has appeared on BBC Two’s Only Connect, celebrating the work of Jilly Cooper as captain of The Jillies. Kat lives in south London with her husband, their dog, and two appalling cats.
